What to play on Family Day instead of Monopoly so you might all still like each other at the end of the day.
There’s certainly good times to be had over a classic game of Monopoly but it can sometimes end in some less than happy players and memories. There are tons of games to play that will leave more than one player happy all day. For example, try a cooperative game and work together which means you’ll win or lose together. Or, if that’s not your cup of tea try some of the other suggestions below for games that don’t require so much fleecing of all your friends and family members’ money. That said, we still love Monopoly 🙂 If you find it takes too long, try playing without so many house rules, the base rules can result in a pretty fast game. But, still lots of unhappy people, except one of course.

Hey, love the articles with game recommendations. I have been to 2 other gaming cafes in the city and there was one game I played that I really enjoyed. Could you recommend trivia card games? The one I played before was a trivia game that you picked up 3 cards and had to put them in order with your opponent based on what year you think the event happened or the year of the invention.
Hi Diamond, the game you mention is Timeline we have 6 different version of it at the cafe which are listed on the site. Another trivia game for 2 that you may enjoy is Linkee, Each card has 4 trivia questions, the answers to those questions all have a common link. To win the card you have to figure out that link. The game is designed for more players but has a good two player version on the rules.
